I’m looking to use the HxCfgFilConverter.exe in the command line to convert Hamilton binaries to ascii. This works well on a windows machine with a Venus installation. Is there a way to set up a standalone version of the converter (i.e., the executable with its drivers) without a full installation of Venus?
Alternatively, has anyone been able to decode binaries into unicode successfully? it seems like the control characters there are not the most consistent so replacing them with commas, for example, doesnt always do the trick (for example the Layout./d+.File entries in Layout files dont always have a control character following them, forcing some fragile solutions to parse them properly).
Any help is appreciated!
