Saw this post on LinkedIn recently, the paper is a pretty general tools paper looking at using Vibrio natrigens for molecular biology. They put a big focus on the “zero capital transformation protocol” so no incubator, no centrifuge. Given how much pricier automation friendly labware can be it also seems like it could be a useful tool for automated cloning also. Any old liquid handler with a gripper would be suitable for going from frozen cells+DNA to colonies on a plate without any extra integrations or hands-on time.
