Gripper

Hi,

We have a UR10e that we use for moving microplates around, currently with a RobotiQ non-linear gripper, which is quite suboptimal.

Does anybody know of a company that produces and sells a more spcialized type of gripper for microwell plates?

The LabHand from 8-bot looks promising (8-Bot » lab-hand), anything else that someone might know?

Thanks!

Cheers,

Jordi

This company makes a pretty modular gripper interface and you can even 3D print your own attachments to grab stuff. You also can record movements and see the generated python code to get a real quick running start on integration programming (essentially it fills in the boiler plate crap and lets you move onto the parameter tuning much faster)

Thanks! That definitely looks very good, worth exploring!

This is great. How’s the reliability?

Seems to depend on how sturdy your table is but other than that, attached to a regular benchtable not glaring issues. Wait time to get the damn thing is the worst part really….
